UN AUTRE MONDE, a poetic trilogy
The installation is an invitation to dream of a new elsewhere, infinite and yet specific to each person in accordance with their desire and their intimate geography.
The first work is a monumental metal sculpture-poem, which draws in the gaze and summons the imagination. The second work is a collage in black tissue paper from which wafts the perfume L’Autre, abstractly evoking a garden. The third work, offered to the public, is a careful keepsake: a printed manifesto, a collection of multiple narratives that reveal the artist’s intimate world.
JOËL ANDRIANOMEARISOA
His work encompasses different mediums and materials, seeking to give form to non-explicit, often abstract, narrations. His mixed-media approach – sculpture, installation, craft, textile, and through unprecedented collaborations – is informed by his Madagascan roots.
