What's the difference between eau de toilette and eau de parfum?
Eau de toilette and eau de parfum differ slightly in their unique olfactory structures. Eau de parfum is characterised by its deep base notes, providing a more profound presence and promising a long-lasting fragrance that reveals itself with wear. This olfactory composition ensures a more pronounced trail, offering a rich experience full of nuance and detail, like an artistic masterpiece.
In contrast, eau de toilette is more immediate and vibrant. It draws from the bright parts of the same masterpiece, like a delicate sketch. Together, eau de toilette and eau de parfum of the same scent complement each other, offering two artistic interpretations of the same story.

The Woody collection features smoky, earthy fragrances with plenty of depth. Tam Dao is infused with notes of sandalwood and cedar for a deep, delicious fragrance inspired by the childhood memories of Yves Coueslant, one of the founders of the Maison.
Each of these four notes can be found in Diptyque's first fragrance and eau de toilette, L'Eau, created in 1968. The Maison’s other signature eau de toilette, L'Eau des Hespérides, is green and zesty, and sometimes sweet, fruity, and aromatic.
