The ephemeral space at the Maison Diptyque Paris

Designed to embrace the arts and creativity, the ephemeral space welcomes exceptional guests all year round. It is an inspired and inspiring meeting place.

From 2 April to 11 June at 7 Rue Duphot, 75001 Paris
In the ephemeral space, a new installation by French artist Juliette Minchin strikes a stunning balance between wax and nature. An invitation to wander through a garden of wax, where Diptyque's codes are reinterpreted afresh.

A metamorphosis of materials

Diptyque collaborates with French artist Juliette Minchin, whose work around transforming natural materials like wax prompts a sensory experience. To bring this garden to life, she explores several of her signature techniques.

“Large wire structures in the four corners of the installation are covered in wax drapery, sculpted like leaves. Hybrid flowers emerge, as if bursting into bloom. They protect at their heart an imaginary herbarium covered in a layer of white wax, in keeping with the ancestral dipping technique for making candles.”

- Juliette Minchin
Diptyque candles have celebrated exceptional craftsmanship since 1963, their wax becoming a vessel for a unique herbarium of scents from five olfactory families. Drawing inspiration from this heritage, French artist Juliette Minchin has created the artwork Promenade à la bougie (Walk by Candlelight).
