Once Upon a Time... Diptyque's Holiday Tale and Collection

This year, the Maison celebrates the festive season with a fairy tale, an invitation to dive into an enchanted world in the heart of a reimagined Saint-Germain-des-Prés, marvellously marked with surrealist accents. Behind this creation is a trio of artists who echo the founders of Diptyque and the spirit of the Maison: Parisian bookseller and designer Vincent Puente, contemporary writer and poet Victor Pouchet, and bold, imaginative artist Inès Mélia.

The Storyteller: Victor Pouchet

French poet and author Pouchet crafts a tale set in Saint-Germain-des-Prés as it drifts into a dreamlike winter. Familiar yet mysterious, unfolding with a surrealist shimmer.

" What I seek is a book of stories addressed to all, including to grown-ups.— Hmmm… we should be able to find something like that, Léon answered gently. — Wait, I was not finished!,the customer continued, growing more and more animated.“The story must involve nature…And must take place in a city, not just any city! In our neighborhood! In the 5th arrondissement of Paris to be exact!"

The Visions of Vincent Puente

Whimsical figures and winter motifs emerge from Parisian bookseller Puente’s hand. His surrealist illustrations echo the winter’s tale in dreamlike imagery, adorning select creations and presentations.

Inès Mélia's Forms of Poetry

The Parisian artist, with her bold and refined imagination, plays with shapes and materials to transform narrative dimensions from the holiday tale into poetic objets d'art.
Diptyque’s winter fable is revealed through fragrance, light, and artistry. Pine trees, bursts of light, scented wax. It's symbols take shape as limited-edition fragrances, candles, décor, and treasures to share.
