Master glassmaker Vincent Breed, a loyal accomplice of diptyque's Collection 34, explores new techniques and sources of inspiration. The murrine photophore uses a technique from the island of Murano, near Venice. The artisan hand-cuts several layers of colored material and mixes them into thin slices, applying them randomly to the acid-etched glass. The murrina, which retain their brilliance, contrast with the photophore's frosted sides.
