Coco Brun is a Parisian artist whose work centers around illustrating, sculpture and tapestry. Imagining the most vibrating patterns with both a minimalist aesthetic and generous geometric abstraction, Coco Brun draws her inspiration from architecture, mythology and universal legends. Here, the artist has imagined Italian leather sheathes for candles: three surprising creations born from her encounter with the universe of La Maison. In the tradition initiated by the founders, the artist’s combinations of color recall the silk paper used with gifts. The playful forms cut into the leather offer their joyously graphic silhouettes to diptyque’s iconic oval. These utterly original decorative accessories reveal a distinct artistic approach combined with a passion for artisanal techniques: paint applied by brush on the edge, hand-sewn leather… Each object is unique.
